I am always impressed by the level of service and professionalism I experience at this dental office. My appointments... always occur on time. The dental team always provide detailed rationale as to why a certain dental procedure should or better yet, should not be completed. I used to live within 5 minutes of the dental clinic, but I have since moved across town. That said, my longer commute is worth it. I would not change my dentist and hygienist for anything.read more

Had a slightly infected tooth pulled by Dr. Shawn Arora. When I said I wanted it pulled, he did not try to talk me... into a more expensive procedure he agreed with what I wanted. He was concerned about my pain level and rate of infection due to the fact that the freezing might not be as effective. Had no problems. Felt nothing. He talked me through the procedure and explained everything and kept asking if I was alright. I have a phobia of Dentists but I will definitely return to Dr. Shawn Arora in the future.read more

Excellent experience at this dentist. I am a nervous patient and today I was able to have a pain free and stress free... 2 hour root canal. They were also able to get me in next day so I could continue my job next week pain free. Previously, I required sedation for such procedures but I felt 100% at ease in this place and even dozed off during the procedure (no sedation) as the freezing put an end to two weeks of pain and pressure. 90% back to myself this evening and looking forward to serving my students again next week.read more

My son had a sharp toothache and a strong fear of the dentist. On this day we were in 2 clinics where a child of 7... years with severe inflammation and toothache was not helped due to the fact that he cried because of fear of pain. They told that tooth extraction should be carried out under sedation, but we can make such an appointment no earlier than a week later. In this clinic we were taken late in the evening and we were lucky enough to get to the doctor Arora Shawn, who calmly explained to the child what he would do, why it is impossible to leave this tooth and constantly encouraged my son. The tooth was successfully extracted and the child feels great. Thank you for your help and professionalism!read more

I went in for a same day emergency extraction. The pain was absolutely unbearable. J.C. (I hope I'm spelling their name... right) and Dr. Moore were so comforting and reassuring; with Dr. Moore ensuring that I was prepared for the extraction both mentally and physically, but that even if I wasn't ready to have the procedure done, they would still find a way to work to make me feel better. I have never had a dentist take that kind of time to go over different scenarios and recovery times. I chose to have the procedure done because I was already in the chair and because I was made comfortable and felt my concerns were prioritized. I'm usually pretty anxious at the dentist and the needles are never my favourite. I was braced for ALL the pain when the needles came out. Especially because the whole right side of my mouth was inflamed and sitting at an 8 on the pain scale. Dr. Moore and J.C. worked quickly and efficiently, all the while checking in on me to see if I was alright. I previously had an issue with lock-jaw and expressed my fear that it would happen again. Dr. Moore assured me that it would be ok and then managed to pull out this already broken molar out of the back of my mouth without me having to risk my jaw locking in process. I am so glad I read the reviews and comments on this page because they were 100% correct. This visit left a great first impression and I will be moving our family to The Dentists at Northgate for all future appointments :)Thanks again, J.C. and Dr. Moore!read more

I had a good experience going here the first time last week. The hygienist was awesome and made sure to finish the... cleaning and not have me come back for another appointment. The only weird thing was i had to hold the chairside suction (the one that suck extra saliva) compared to other dental places ive been where i didn't have to do that. Kinda wondering about sanitation. Anyway, the doctor was nice as well and very informative. I didn't feel like he was in a rush or something. I noticed there was a couple of names that was consistently mentioned on negative reviews here so to be fair i dont think i dealt with them during my visit so i can't really say if i just got lucky or the negative experience by other customers were just a one off thing. My personal experience was good and i think i found a new place for my teeth maintenance. I'll be coming back for sure.read more

I recently required several visits to the dentist to repair issues that I had neglected. (I’m not comfortable with... dental procedures and avoided the inevitable for too long). I had the good fortune of being booked into see Dr. Jerry Cao. After five visits I’m good to go tIll my next check up. “Dr. Jerry” is an outstanding dentist. He does everything to make his patient comfortable and checks frequently to ensure the patient is doing fine. He does a very good job explaining what needs to be done and offers options if they’re available. As my insurance coverage had been exceeded cost became an issue. Dr. Jerry offered options that saved me hundreds. He still did a first rate job of getting me back on the road to proper dental health. Thanks to his understanding and skill I won’t be so neglectful in the future.I highly recommend The Dentists at Northgate; and specifically recommend Dr. Jerry.read more

I’m so happy with my new dentist, Dr Sandhu, at Northgate. I called in as a new patient with a dental issue I was... having, was seen that day and was given great attention and care by the front staff, hygienists and the dentist herself. I later called back in to further discuss the same issue and got to speak to Dr Sandhu right away. She gave me so much useful information and helped answer any of the questions I had. She also wanted to delay a scheduled procedure when I found out about a change in my well being, because she didn’t not want my body under any physical stress.
